NOLL ART

A sublime, pulsating, organic style eminates from the art.

In the beginning, it was a game, trying to master as many styles of art as possible. Over time, collectively, they morphed into my own.

To draw, you must close your eyes and sing.

                     —Pablo Picasso

Picasso seems to make the connection between art and music, that art is the audio manifested in the visual. I create nothing without music playing.

Drawing is wonderfully immediate. Rooted in the primal control of mastering mark-making. It is the foundation for two dimensional art, painting, print making, illustration, and logo design all begin with a line. A sketch to deliniate form and composition. Substance on a flat surface.

"I was fortunate to have exceptional art teachers who guided and inspired me. In their absence, the Old Masters were always available on the library shelf. If I can pass on that knowledge to my students, then the circle is complete."
